Management Skills is a three-part program designed to improve managerial effectiveness through specific skills training. It will appeal to supervisors, administrators, project leaders, and department heads in business, industry, public and not-for-profit sectors.

In your first year, you’ll develop fundamental business skills and study accounting, economics, marketing and writing. In year two, you’ll take business & management courses in managing business development, operations and human resources.  

This multi-disciplinary and applied diploma will provide you with an in-depth understanding of local government in B.C. You'll be able to identify, analyze and recommend solutions to workplace challenges while strengthening your research, communication and management skills.

As a student of the Local Government Administration Certificate you’ll gain a broader understanding of local government in BC, develop new skills you can apply right away and learn from local government leaders and colleagues.

Become an Industrial Mechanic with this foundation program. As a millwright or a machinist, you will maintain, install, and repair stationary industrial equipment in factories, mills, mines, production plants, and recreational facilities. You will be skilled in utilizing lathes, milling machines, grinders, and other equipment to machine parts to accurate dimensions. As a millwright or mechanist, you will work in close association with instrument mechanics, pipefitters, welders, electricians, and heavy equipment mechanics.

Learn to work on all types of electronic systems including motor controls and programmable logic controllers, data acquisition, process control systems and robotics.

Participants will work in the classroom and various shops exploring a variety of trades, career paths, industry demands and safety practices/training.

The Horticulture Technician Program provides a blend of theory and practical work. You'll acquire skills in botany, plant identification, nursery production, greenhouse management, landscape design, and maintenance.

Develop specialized skills in four heavy mechanical trades: truck and transport mechanic, transport trailer technician, heavy duty equipment technician and diesel engine mechanic.
