The Diploma program combines theory and technique with best horticulture practice. Students learn how to use the tools and technologies that are an everyday part of industry workplace. The program also provides students with a foundation in horticulture science. Students can specialize in Landscape Horticulture systems, Sustainable Production or Turf Management.
This foundation program provides you with the theoretical understanding as well as practical skills needed to become proficient in basic mechanical maintenance and repair of heavy mechanical trades. You will become familiar with servicing hydraulic systems, air brakes, winches, blades and accessories.
There are four apprenticeship paths for the Heavy Mechanical Trades, with differing levels of technical training required for each: Truck and Transport Mechanic, Heavy Duty Equipment Technician, Diesel Engine Mechanic, and Transport Trailer Technician.
