In this course, students will learn all aspects of becoming a Parts & Warehousing Person. This includes ordering, warehousing and keeping inventory control over parts and accessories for industries like the automotive, commercial transport, heavy duty, marine and warehousing sectors.
A Parts & Warehousing Person is often responsible for receiving goods and sorting incoming parts, supplies and materials in a warehouse atmosphere. They maintain shipping and receiving records on the amount, kind and location of parts and supplies shipped or received and process purchases and reconcile inventories with physical counts. Completion of the program makes the student eligible for ITA accreditation.

Students engage in a variety of classroom and shop activities. They learn principles of both trades in the classroom and then apply their knowledge in the shop where they fabricate, install and maintain industrial tools, machines and equipment to exacting standards of precision.
Millwrights are often described as jack of all trades as they are expected to install, maintain and repair all types of machinery and heavy mechanical equipment in almost any industry. They work from plans and blueprints and install equipment and align parts or components.
Millwrights install, repair, overhaul and maintain machinery and heavy mechanical equipment, such as conveyor systems in diverse settings including repair shops, plants, construction sites, mines, logging operations, ski hills and most production and manufacturing facilities.
The Millwright Foundation Program consists of 24 weeks of foundation training and a 2 week practicum requirement and will provide the skills required for the student to obtain level 1 technical training. A Millwright is one who dismantles, moves, installs, changes layout, sets-up, repairs, overhauls and maintains all machinery and heavy mechanical equipment, including power shafting, pulleys, conveyors and hoists.

They work from plans and blueprints and install equipment using hand tools, power tools, and hoisting equipment. Millwrights use grinders and lathes to make customized parts and construct machinery foundations.The Millwright Apprenticeship Training Program includes levels 1-4 of the ITA prescribed Apprenticeship training.
